About

For acoustic, electric and bass guitars

The cool thing about machine heads (tuning keys), is that companies make direct fit replacements for most all popular guitar models and tuning key mount configurations. Whether you want standard or locking tuning keys, a new look, a better feel when tuning or a higher gear ratio, there is likely a direct fit for your guitar. Direct fit tuners you can install yourself if you carefully follow the directions.

The existing tuning key mounting holes may need filling, touchup and re-drilling. If the post holes need to be enlarged or if the holes need to be stepped (one hole, two different sizes), I learned a method for doing this that will not eat your peg head alive and leave a nice chamfer when all is done. If you own a vintage guitar, you should try to save your original tuning keys if possible.

                Services Performed:
                1. Remove strings, turners and fill old mounting holes (as required).
                2. Modify existing tuner holes (if needed) and mount new tuners.
                3. Re-string, test and adjust tuners.
