About

 For electric guitars

If you have a guitar with a tremolo system on it and you do not use it, it would be well worth having it blocked. Blocking the tremolo (Floyd Rose and Fender Stratocaster especially), improves string to body coupling, in turn, improving tone AND sustain. Blocking a tremolo is a completely reversable operation, requires no physical alterations to the guitar and improves tuning stability.

                Services Performed:
                1. Remove tremolo cavity cover, loosen strings and tremolo spring claw.
                2. Align tremolo sustain bar with cover slot for string replacement.
                3. Measure and fabricate front and rear shim to hold tremolo in place.
                4. Install shims, tension springs and cover to hold shims in place.
                5. Re-string, tune and set intonation.

Though it is not absolutely necessary, it is a good idea to get a full

setup and adjust with tremolo blocking.
